Here at Hawea Haven we offer a place of peace and tranquillity hidden away in the hills surrounding Lake Hawea with a lovely rural aspect and truly magnificent views of the snow capped mountains, including Treble Cone and Black Peak.

Located in New Zealand’s beautiful Southern Lakes district, Hawea Haven consists of two luxury studio guest accommodation (opened June 2008) situated a ten minute drive from both Hawea and Wanaka, two of New Zealands’ beautiful Southern Lakes and within half an hour of Treble Cone, Cadrona, Nordic Cross Country Ski Fields and of course the Snow Park.

Both studios are built to take maximum advantage of the breathtaking views, both have double glazing, air conditioning, bathrooms appointed with underfloor heating, demisting mirrors and hairdryers. Both studio kitchens are fully equipped with a fridge, microwave and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities.

A continental breakfast will be delivered to your studio.

Your studio has a private courtyard where you can sit and watch the sun set over Treble Cone and partake in a glass from your complimentary bottle of a locally grown wine.

For your evening meal you can dine at one of Hawea or Wanakas’ fine restaurants, or if you are feeling like a quiet evening in, you can cook on the private guest BBQ and then wile away an hour or so in the guest outdoor spa pool.

Hawea Haven caters for a maximum of four guests at any one time, ensuring privacy and relaxation.

Hawea Haven is the perfect retreat to take time out, relax and recharge. If you are feeling a little more adventurous, there is skiing and snowboarding on one of our beautiful ski fields, for the golf enthusiast there is a nine hole course at Hawea or test yourself at Wanaka’s 18 hole course.
If a spot of trout fishing is your fancy then Lake Hawea is the place to be, whatever your preference, Hawea Haven, 10 minutes out of Lake Hawea, the gateway to Mt Aspiring National Park offers it all.

Wanaka’s Puzzling World offers hours of fun and entertainment, or if you just want to explore our beautiful region at your own pace, we can supply mountain bikes for your use.
For the connoisseur among you, there are wine and garden tours.
We also offer short horse treks, by arrangement only.
After a busy day you can call our in-house masseur Kelly, who can provide you with relaxation, deep tissue or stress relief massage, by appointment only.
